At the core of what we do is the learner. .
Face-to- face training |
This involves contact session where participants are taken through theoretical underpinning and practical sessions on the topics in a way that will help the participants facilitate learning in the classroom. This will commence with a pre-training assessment of participants and end with post training assessment to measure progress and learn lessons for improvement. The face-to-face approach to training is in line with the Behavioural and Cognitive Theories of learning. |
Self study |
These are self-paced and build on the face-to-face training sessions. they allow participants continue to take courses using digital platforms. The objectives are to deepen the knowledge and skills taught during the face-to-face contact session, strengthen the competence of the participants in the use of technology to learn and teach and encourage life- long learning. The Online Self-Study Courses aligns with the Connectivism Theory of the 21st Century Pedagogy. |
On the job support |
Visits to observe how participants are putting the skills, knowledge and attitude acquired to use. School Support Officers (SSOs) provide constructive feedback to the participants to improve performance. This is all done in line with the Constructive Learning Theory which emphasizes learning by action or activity-based learning. |
Digital literacy |
Strong focus on digital literacy skills. We believe this skill is key to effective participation in the 21st-century knowledge economy, especially at a time when teachers have to conduct lessons in Digital Classrooms as they prepare the next generation of leaders to be critical thinkers, and problem solvers. |
